Market Chameleon is one platform that’s been catching traders’ attention.

Pros & Cons

  • Detailed Options Analytics: Market Chameleon excels at delivering near real-time options flow and volatility data with minimal delay (depending on subscription).
  • Premarket and After-Hours Insights: You’ll be able to act early by analyzing data before the market opens. This is a big plus for those involved in day trading.
  • Earnings Reports and Price Reactions: Market Chameleon’s earnings insights allow traders to predict how stocks might move once earnings are announced.
  • Advanced Screening Tools: You’ll get plenty of customizable screeners for stocks and options. Additionally, you can analyze your watch list of stocks to find the best spreads.
  • Technical Analysis Tools: Tools like RSI and oscillators allow traders to combine data analytics with technical analysis to make more reliable decisions.
  • Scanning Limitations: According to some user reports, it doesn’t scan for calendar/diagonal-type trades in a low-volume environment. Furthermore, when scanning, Market Chameleon won’t let you set strike prices in vertical-type spreads of more than 20 points.
  • Learning Curve: New traders may find the platform a little bit much due to the sheer volume of data and features.
  • The Subscription Cost: While Market Chameleon offers powerful tools, many advanced features are behind a paywall, which could be a barrier.
  • Not Beginner-Friendly: If you don’t understand technical analysis and options flow, beginners might struggle to make the most of the platform. Luckily, Bullish Bears has lots of free beginner courses and videos to get you started.

How Does Market Chameleon Work?

Market Chameleon pulls massive amounts of market data and organizes it into easy-to-understand reports, charts, and filters. The good news is that Market Chameleon has a user-friendly interface that makes it accessible even to beginners.

Options Data and Analytics

This Market Chameleon review finds that they offer detailed options analysis, such as unusual options volume and options flow. Traders can track:

  • Implied volatility
  • Open interest trends
  • Unusual call and put activity

This information is especially useful for traders focusing on short-term gains in the stock market.

Premarket and Postmarket Insights

One standout feature of Market Chameleon is their analytics on premarket and postmarket. You can monitor stock activity outside regular hours. This is good for those planning day trading strategies. Early signals can help you anticipate market moves before the opening bell.

Earnings Data and Predictions

Earnings data, analyst expectations, and how prices are expected to react to earnings announcements are all things Market Chameleon provides.

Customizable Screeners

The platform includes screeners for options, stocks, and earnings. You can filter by:

  • High momentum
  • Unusual volume
  • Volatility spikes

Technical Analysis Tools

Market Chameleon provides traders who rely on technical analysis with the indicators they need. For example, the RSI (Relative Strength Index), oscillators, and moving averages help identify trends, spot reversals, and even measure momentum shifts.

Market Chameleon Features and Tools

In this Market Chameleon review, we found that the platform truly packs a punch with its wide range of tools and features. The reality is that every trade should be driven by data, not emotion — there’s simply no place for emotions in trading.

Because of this, Market Chameleon is worth considering as a go-to platform for traders who thrive on data-driven decisions. Whether you’re into day trading, swing trading, or navigating the broader market. Let’s do a review of a few of their key features below.

The Screeners

The screeners are the meat and potatoes of Market Chameleon. Stock and options screeners let traders filter data to match their strategies. The platform has a bunch of different strategies that you can screen for setups like:

  • bull call and put spreads
  • bear call and put spreads
  • long calls and long puts
  • call and put butterflies, as well as
  • iron condors and straddles

Earnings

You can track upcoming reports, historical price reactions, and analyst forecasts. These tools are perfect if you’re looking to profit from earnings-driven market moves.

Market Analysis

With pre and post-market analysis, monitor how a stock moves after hours. Premarket analysis tells you what happens overnight that can trickle into the trading day ahead. Premarket trends offer early signals for the trading day, while post-market insights highlight overnight shifts. This information helps day traders plan trades before the market fully reacts.

With Market Chameleon, you can look at a wide variety of things, from premarket after-hours trading, top gainers and losers, to outperforming stocks in specific industries and dividend calendars. Take, for example, the premarket trading panel; it’s a great way to start your day because you can see:

  • The most active stocks in premarket trading
  • Which stocks are gaining the most in premarket
  • Which ones are losing the most in premarket

Furthermore, this can be filtered by sector, market cap, volume, and whether there was news or earnings around the stock. I like this because it’s a great way to start your day with an overview of what stocks might be targets for trading that day.

Price Action Analysis Tool

Another cool feature is the price action analysis tool. With this tool, you can look back in time at a specific stock and get an analysis of the distribution of returns on any given day. For example, it’s a neat way to determine how likely a stock is to move 5% in a day. This gives you an idea when considering volatility and implied volatility. You can dig into the data to see:

  • Average median moves
  • The biggest up and down moves that a stock has made over any period
  • Look at the number of occurrences of moves above or below a certain threshold

As you can see, this is highly valuable data when you’re digging in and considering volatility.

Screeners and Tools

Insider Trading Screener

Unfortunately, the Insider Trading Screener is included in the premium subscription. I do like that you can filter the stocks in the insider trading list. It’s a nice way to get ideas for what stocks might be targets for trading.

Big Money Stock Flow Tool

I  like this tool because it gives you information about where support and resistance levels for a stock are based on what the institutional money is doing. And with the Market Chameleon screeners, you can screen stocks based on whether they’re above or below support or resistance.

Order And Balance Tool

The order and balance tool gives you information about the market overall, and you can filter by market cap or stock type. Green indicates net inflows into the market, whereas red indicates there are net outflows. Overall, this is a nice way to get a quick look at whether the market overall is bullish or bearish.

Unusual Options Activity Tool

This tool is quite similar to what you’d get from a platform like Unusual Whales. It lets you look at tickers that are experiencing much higher than average options volume, and it gives you a sentiment indicator so you can find out right away if that options volume is bullish or bearish. But keep in mind, there’s a lot of detail in here, as well as a lot of ways that you can filter. From implied volatility, call and put volume, upcoming earnings, news, and so much more, it can be overwhelming for newbies. However, it’s a great way to generate trading strategies.

Implied Volatility & Open Interest

Implied Volatility (IV) Screening

You can look at the implied volatility movers by option expiration. An increasing change in IV suggests that a stock is going to get more volatile in the future. In contrast, a decreasing implied volatility indicates that a stock is going to become less volatile.

This can be beneficial if you’re seeking high-volatility stocks. The implied volatility percent change can be a useful screener for identifying stocks that fit this strategy.

Additionally, you can also use the order flow sentiment to get an idea of which are the most bullish and bearish stocks in the market, as well as the most bullish and bearish ETFs.

Open Interest Percent Gainers

The open interest percent gainers is another useful tool, which I haven’t seen as much in other options analysis platforms. Users can view open interest percent gainers by stock, contract, or a combination of IV and price.

Overall, this screener is a little bit more informative than just contract volume changes. I think it will offer insight into whether trading activity is real and not just an activity by institutions.

Technical Indicators

Market Chameleon provides tools such as RSI, moving averages, and oscillators to analyze trends and momentum. Once again, you’ll be able to spot those reversals, confirm momentum, and refine their entries and exits, making them especially useful for swing trading strategies.

Historical Data

History is important and quite often repeats itself. Users get access to historical data for a variety of stocks. With this information in hand, it’s vital to study past price patterns, volatility, and earnings reactions.

By analyzing historical trends, traders can somewhat guesstimate what the stock might do in the future. I’m not saying this is perfect, but it can somewhat help you to manage risk.
