Stock Market Industries List

Stock Market Industries List

The Bullish Bears list the 24 stock industry groups, their categories, and sub-categories. An industry group is a way of organizing companies or stocks based on their type of business. For example, the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) is a widely used system that groups stocks into 24 industry groups and 11 sectors.

Industry groups fall under sectors, which falls under the umbrella of indexes, and indexes fall under the bigger umbrella of exchanges. Exchanges aren’t able to be bought or sold, however indexes can via ETFs and futures.
