As with most things in life you get what you pay for but – there are news sources that are timely and provide a “news aggregate.” Top of my list is Financial Juice which is an amazing news source that also offers people with free accounts the ability to customize what news sources it monitors.
Finance Juice provides insight into the daily economic schedule while also providing a list of people scheduled to speak each day. It has a built-in “tickstrike” to monitor S&P-500 orderflow by sound and offers premarket & afterhours market recaps.
Behind that news source is FinViz – another service that offers free access to news and offers charting capabilities & scanning. While the paid service is going to offer more customization, the free version does a really good job of offering a look back at previous news on a market symbol and current news too.
The fastest news (free or paid) is a little bit of a surprise to some people, but it is Twitter. While Twitter is often considered a trash can for bots and trolls – all the major news outlets are on Twitter and a surprisingly large community of Hedge Fund managers and other institutional traders are on Twitter providing insightful and timely information for free.
FXStreet has an economic calendar that is customizable to your own time zone which is helpful for traders who get confused about that sort of thing. It has a free and paid service offering anticipated impact, forecasting on the economic numbers and offers news on the economic data that comes out through the day.
If you are interested in a paid news service, there is an industry leader called Hammerstone. This is the news provider within ThinkorSwim “TradeFlash” widget. Their app is intensive but offers customized user alerts, news, and even order flow information.
The Bullish Bears Discord server has bots that offer timely and actionable news and these bots can be used to pull up old news on a market symbol for research.
